I love my job because:
I am fascinated with the proper movement and functioning of the human body;
I find it so rewarding to meet clients who have seemingly accepted the limitations of their bodies, caused by pain and dysfunction, only to watch them regain confidence in their movements and abilities, as we release years worth of adhesions and compensatory patterns.
See me if:
You’re stuck in poor postures at work and you feel like your body is ‘caving inwards’ - hunched shoulders, tight neck and back - and you want to reverse these patterns to regain ease of movement/function. If your pain/tension keeps returning, despite repetitive therapies and self-care, and you’re ready to try an approach that gets to the root cause of pain, rather than merely chasing symptoms.
I believe:
Using my combination of Fascial Restructuring and Swedish Massage techniques to release the underlying - and therefore often overlooked - causes of pain (unfelt adhesions in soft tissues, joints and organs), we allow the ‘symptomatic’ (painful) areas to relax and resume normal function as well. Our bodies are stronger and more resilient than we give them credit for, yet they can hold the physical and emotional traumas of decades past. Poor posture, and our bodies miraculous ability to compensate can intensify imbalances and dysfunction.
I look at the body as a connected system - from scalp to toe - and consider its history, to create a treatment plan designed to release adhesions, restoring the body’s natural alignment, thereby eliminating the body’s need to compensate.
